-Fiona drops them off, turns on her heal and departs

*The ever silent Corvick loots the bodies of the Monkey Men, taking their swords (how someone who never speaks intends to sell them is a mystery yet to be solved)

*As Targus’s Tribe begins heading on the path to the Dark Palace once again they encounter a very bored Sphinx
-The Sphinx’s rule is simple: answer 3 riddles to pass, or become its dinner
-Riddle Number 1: Give me food and I live, give me water and I die. What am I? The Answer: Fire (brought to you by Braig & Drak)
-Riddle Number 2: Throw away the outside and cook the inside. Eat the outside and then throw away the inside. What am I? The Answer: Corn (brought to you once again by Braig, oh on a side note Arlin pops out of the flask)
Riddle Number 3: I can run but not walk. Where ever I go thought follows close behind. What am I? The Answer: NOT the word AFTER (This incorrect guess has been brought to you once again by Braig)
-For the first time in far too many years the Sphinx will finally get to eat, his mood is ever so slightly uplifted
-Arlin volunteers to be eaten first; Blane (while thinking this a most excellent idea) suggests to Gregoria using the “get of any one situation free card” might be opportune at point in time, fortunately for all those who do not want to be the Sphinx’s dinner she agrees (and the card is expended)
-The Sphinx asks Riddle #3 again; Targus’s Tribe prays to its various gods/goddesses, Bahamut sends a chicken to Gregoria with a note in its mouth (hint hint)
-After much debate Arlin guesses the answer to Riddle #3 is NOSE, it is indeed the correct answer; the Sphinx lazily sighs and tells Targus’s Tribe that they may pass
-The Sphinx asks to at least be able to eat the chicken, Gregoria says no (after all the chicken belongs to Bahamut, and is probably a dragon or something else in disguise)
-Upon arriving at the Dark Palace Targus’s Tribe are great by 2 giant spiders that agree to take them to see “Her” (it turns out that “Her” is a female drider, go figure)
-After some negotiation with Targus’s Tribe (for the last weapon of power) Her waves her hand and the spiders bring out a cocooned old man named Mortimer
-Mortimer is decocooned and painfully extracts the knowledge Her wants form Braig (the knowledge is literally ripped out of Braig head and takes the form of a scroll, by the by the knowledge is a map to Amber)
-Mortimer is then recocoooned and taken away
-Out of Targus’s Tribe Braig wins the who can childishly grab “Truth” contest, and gives it to Gregoria (it turns into a silver rapier)
-Now its time, boys and girls, for the weapons of power roll call: Glory (a great sword carried by Drak), Honor (a dagger carried by Braig), Justice (a rapier carried by Merisel), and finally Truth (a rapier carried by Gregoria)

*Targus’s Tribe plane shifts (courtesy of Father Fellfire) back to their homeland, much to their joy they happen to appear a short distance from the Castle of the Ages in Baustan (yah!)
-Father Fellfire opens a portal and they go to his secret room in Mastrom
-Father Fellfire spends a few minutes pulling levers, and a secret door opens; he invites them into his parlor (nothing bad can some of this, after all look how it turned out for the fly)
-Father Fellfire and Drak haggle over the price of his sword of power, it ends with Father Fellfire violently and mystically attacking Drak (59 points of damage, can you say owee?)
-Father Fellfire performs an hour long ritual to make the Four Weapons of Power into the One Weapon of Power (never touching the weapons directly once by the by)
-Father Fellfire tells Tarkin’s Tribe to get out and go kill King Vincent Darkwater Kane, and that he hopes to never see them again

Session 14: Land Pirate Verses Candle Maker

*As the locksmith opens the not so dearly departed Warden Bowser’s safe she is attacked by a Chain Monster, it viciously glomps onto her arm
-G/G whips out her +4 Sword of Wounding and strikes the foul beast
-Merisel pricks it with her magical “Thieving Dagger” and the creature howls in agony (also slightly less important is the fact that it releases her)
-The Chain Monster gets it revenge by savagely ripping into Merisel’s neck with its razor sharp teeth, Merisel begins to feel her very life force slipping away (go go Con damage)
-G/G once again slashes into the Chain Monster with her +4 Sword of Wounding
-Drak, never one to miss out on a chance for mindless (yet oh so fun) violence, leap attacks the Chain Monster; the cunning beast easily dodges his clumsy attack, redirecting the damage onto Merisel and Drak himself
-In a rare displace of competency in combat Braig fires 2 blasts of magical lighting into the Chain Monster, the living metal monstrosity is nearly ripped apart
-Blane then moves in and brilliantly attacks the Chain Monster with his Scorpion Claw Strike, the Chain Monster is left stinging in rage
-As the battle began it thus so ends, with G/G shattering the Chain Monster into a thousand pieces with her +4 Sword of Wounding

*After briefly (and poorly) having her wounds patched by Braig, Merisel open the safe in the safe to discover a long slender silver rapier (aka Justice)

*G/G dips her hand into a magic pool to pick up a vial she dropped in it, there is no noticeable side effect (key world noticeable)

*The chained up elven girl is named Ildriana
- She tells The Tribe that she is not a princess, in point of fact the princess has been taken to another castle

*Blane randomly (and at the invisible nagging of The Architect) uses the Deck of Many Things and draws the Jack of Hearts; he gains Tom as his personal servant, and the Deck disappears (as per the promise of The Architect)

*G/G gets out her Silver Scales; while Blane tells Father Fellfire that the fell priest does not get to keep the captive girls as a conciliation prize
-Everyone, except Father Fellfire, then holds hands and then plane shifts to Mt. Celestia
-When TT (The Tribe) rematerializes they are greeted by an old man feeding chickens
-G/G asks to speak to him in private, the old man snaps his fingers and ear muffs appear on the chickens
-When G/G tells Bahamut (aka the old man) of its boy turned into a girl curse he puts sunglasses on the chickens (they don’t need to see that)
- G/G then asks Bahamut to turn her into a girl permanently, and to make the other members of TT forget that she was ever a man.
-Bahamut tells G/G that he has a friend who can use her male half as a servant, and rips G/G into two separate beings (one a man, and the other a woman)
-The man will know call known as Mirth (First Servant of The Architect), and TT has no memory of Gregoria every being man (just a really weird woman who once asked a gnome to build her a strap on steam punk penis)
-TT suddenly reappear in Carceri with Father Fellfire having no memory of them every leaving

*Holding hands Father Fellfire plane shifts them home; they appear in a forest in front of a cloaked humanoid figure holding a bow
-An elven female jumps down form a tree beside the hooded bowperson, she then darts Braig in the neck when he says he is tired
-Drak, Gregoria, & Merisel seem unfazed by this and head of in a northeast direction toward the village of Traulot
-The elven female asks Blane if he has a map and darts him in the neck, but it doesn’t effect him (unless your counting his being annoyed); she then invites Blane back to the elven village she hails from
-When Blane tells her that he must first return Princess Nadia to her home plane, the mysterious female elf helps by magically banishing her (I guess that one way to due it)
-Father Fellfire, Tom cannot go with them (as they are not of elven blood) and will meet up with Blane and Braig in the city of Blaith; FF (Father Fellfire) picks up an unconscious Braig by sucking him into his magic handkerchief
-FF reluctantly gives Braig back to Blane when asked politely and departs
-The elven female attempts to wake Braig up by telling him an anecdote, then realizes she needs to use the antidote to wake him up (she always seems to get those two confused, understandable really)
-After a slightly confusing conversation with Blane the elven female reveals her name is Callia, her silent companion is the Half-Elf Ranger Corvick
-When Blane tells Callia his elven druid alley is named Braig she covers her mouth and a look of horror / amusement comes over her face; out of the corner of her mouth she whispers to Blane that the elves have nick named Braig “Dances With Wolves”
-Blane asks Callia to take him to the village elder, she agrees but says Braig must go to Corvick’s hut (since his reputation proceeds him, and the village raises wolves)
-When Blane arrives at the village elders hut he discovers it is none other than Morrowind (The Puppy Momma); he talks to her about the desperate need to form a rebellion to oppose the tyrannical rule of KVDK before his madness consumes the world
-Morrowind doesn’t want to (or can’t) see Braig, but will allow him to see his 5 children/puppies (but in return Braig must not return to this village for 1 year)
-Blane takes Braig to see his offspring
-Braig, at the sight of his offspring, become overwhelmed with emotion and turns into a mouse to go in search of Morrowind
-Blane catches him and reasons with him that for the good of the rebellion (and his family) that he must honor Morrowinds decree
-When it is time for Blane and Braig to leave the village, Blane informs Corvick that Morrowind has decreed that the young ranger must quest with TT for the time being

*When Drak / Gregoria / Merisel arrive in Traulot the Amazons ask them their business there; Drak responds that they are merchants, buts refuses to say what they wish to trade
-The Amazons then refuse to admit them into Traulot; annoyed Drak / Gregoria / Merisel then continue on their way, leaving Traulot behind them
-In the distance Drak spots a wagon being pulled by a horse with no driver headed towards the trio
-When the wagon reaches them it stops; a man with large hat (feather included) and spurred boots comes out of the wagon and greets the trio
-The mysterious and charismatic (yet creepy in a bad way) land pirate captain offers them a ride (and all the apples they can eat); after some debate they accept his offer and head off towards the city of Blaith (as a side note, the inside of the wagon is far large than the outside; and pirate ship shaped)
-TLPC (The Land Pirate Captain) offers Drak 100,000 Gold for his weapon of power, Drak declines the offer (as only blood offering to The Raven Queen, not gold, interests him)
-TLPC drops the trio off in Blaith (a mere 3 hour trip) and departs

*Not long after TLPC encounters Blane / Braig / and Corvick and makes them same offer (purchase of weapon of power included)
-Blane and Braig accept the offer of transportation, Corvick though requires a bit of magical persuasion (aka he gets his ass kick when he attacks someone above his pay grade needlessly and poorly without even a hint of banter)
-Braig also declines TLPC offer to buy his weapon of power
-During the trip to Blaith in conversation it comes up that TLPC is in fact an “old friend” (aka bitter enemy, or at the very least hated rival) of FF (the old candle maker does seem to get a round, doesn’t he? and with people skills like his its easy to see how achieved the position of High Priest of Vecna)
-When they reach Blaith TLPC informs Blane that if Braig reconsiders his offer the wagon ship will be on the hill outside of the city for the next week

*A short time later TT and FF and reunited at the local inn
-When Blane mentions to FF that his old friend the TLPC is on the hill outside the city FF departs
-Moments latter a thunderous explosion is heard in the distance, when TT goes outside to investigate they are behold the beginnings of a battle between a Beholder and Skeletal Dragon on the hilltop outside of Blaith

Session 13: The Ultimate Boss Battle, Or Not

*And the mysterious figure in black (drum roll please) is none other than someone “The Tribe” has never seen before.
-In fact the mysterious figure in black is not even the real mysterious figure in black (who is the arch enemy, or at least minor antagonist of Blane)
-This being refers to itself as “The Son/Sun” of Bahamut and Pelor (please please don’t ask for details, because that would just be rude; and well, we really don’t have any to give you)
-“The Son/Sun” was sent here by one its fathers (in this case Bahamut) to procure from “The Tribe” the “Hades Amulets” that bind them together (and are apparently corrupting them as well, although some need a little less corrupting than others)
-“The Son/Sun” promises to release the captive souls within the amulets into its divine realm, where they will enjoy a peaceful afterlife (and perhaps strengthen the fledgling god’s power)
-“The Tribe” agrees to “The Son/Sun’s” offer, it is only then that “The Son/Sun” reveals that Hades may seek vengeance (what a wonderful surprise, and such a delightful time to reveal it)

*There is a second, even more untimely, knock as the “Son/Sun” departs; “The Tribe” takes covers in the back of the Ned, The Pie Makers, shop
-The over eager, and would be customer, manages to pick the lock just as Ned opens the door; enter the female elven locksmith “Merisel”
-“Merisel” of course knew that the pie shop (along with many other of the shops in Aramanthia) were closed in honor of KVDK’s visit; but she had a nagging craving for cherry pie, and thought it prudent to help herself gain entry and pie anyway
-Merisel orders her pie and rather bluntly asks Ned if he knows of any adventures that might be / have been in the area recently (aka “The Tribe”)
-While Ned begins making Merisel’s pie (and secretly consulting with “The Tribe” on what do about the locksmith) Chuck (Ned’s associate) engages her in small talk
-Blane instructs Ned to tell Merisel to be at the forest outside of Blaith in one weeks time if she wishes to meet “The Tribe;” this way if things go bad Ned’s pie shop will not end up as collateral damage
-Blane also notices that before Ned touches the pie the cherries inside it seem to be desiccated, and afterwards they seem fresh and ripe (curious and curiouser)
-After Merisel finishes her pie and departs, “The Tribe” departs a few minutes later

*One week passes and “The Tribe” lays in wait for Merisel in the forest outside of Blaith
-Braig has transformed into a deer grazing in the middle of field, while the others have taken positions in or behind the trees
-Merisel stealth fully enters the grove, all but unspotted save for by Blane and Drak; the locksmith easily spots the members of “The Tribe” save for the aforementioned adventurers
-Merisel decides to climb a tree for a more advantageous position, unfortunately she has chosen to climb the tree Drak is hiding in (a fact she discovered when she began climbing his leg)
-Drak viciously and casually kicks Merisel to the ground, and Braig (now transformed into a Puma) then pounces on her chest
-Blane then informs Merisel that this would be the time to convince “The Tribe” why they shouldn’t her on the spot
-Merisel claims to be a simple thief who foresees that the rein of KVDK will be very bad for her business; she happened to see “The Tribes” wanted posters and is willing to help them overthrow KVDK (for a modest cut of the take of course)
-Drak, bored now that the predictable first meeting between adventurers violence is over, heads into the city of Blaith
-Blane advises Merisel that before she joins “The Tribe,” she should know that she will be bound to the “Mysterious Magical Flask” that randomly sucks its members into for indeterminate amounts of time
-The locksmith seems unfazed by this fact (or perhaps more simply doesn’t understand the consequences of her actions) and become the newest addition to “The Tribe”

*The rest of “The Tribe” then enters the city of Blaith to decide what do next, most of the party goes to the nearest inn / tavern
-Blane though begins asking citizens on the streets if they happens to have seen a traveling eladrin wizard recently, when out of the corner of his eye he spots a mysterious figure in black hiding in an alley way
-Blane then goes to the alley way to investigate, but he doesn’t enter the alley way (realizing this may indeed be a trap)
-Father Fellfire conveniently emerges from the alley way a few moments later and is delighted to see Blane

*"The Tribe" and their self appointed spiritual advisor, a one Father Fellfire, are reunited at the local inn; they begin discussing their strategy for retrieving the “3rd Weapon Of Power” from “Carceri (The Red Prison)” and its master Warden Bowser
-Father Fellfire tells “The Tribe” that he is a business associate of Warden Bowser; and that it would be better for them to attempt to bribe him, for if they tried to face him in combat they would all surely die
-Apparently Warden Bowser is an avid collector of princesses, and this is what Father Fellfire suggests they offer him in exchange for the “3rd Weapon Of Power”
-Blane tells Father Fellfire that they will not kidnap and sell into slavery an innocent princess for the “3rd Weapon Of Power;” Father Fellfire says not to worry, he’ll just kidnap an evil one, and suddenly teleports away
-Drak prays to The Raven Queen for guidance; and is given a vision of a dark and twisted land with a prison palace made of bone
-The rest of “The Tribe” agrees on using Merisel as a princess decoy; Braig even goes to a tailor to have her a gown made (oh by the by, the tailor is a giant mouse woman)
-Despite the tailors best efforts Merisel looks nothing like a princess, well maybe one you would keep locked in a tower
-Father Fellfire then returns with a princess that none of them have ever seen, and before they can object to this he plane shifts them all to Carceri

*Upon arrival in Carceri “The Tribe” is greeted cordially by humanoid turtle guards and are kindly escorted to meet with Warden Bowser (who happens to have a princess crown, and all entirely dressed in pink, bound and gagged on a pedestal)
-“The Tribe” tries to pass Merisel off as a princess to Warden Bowser, but despite Blane’s silver tongue Warden Bowser just doesn’t seem to believe them (in fact he more interested in wiping his hand after having shook Blanes)
-Father Fellfire tell tries to exchange the princess he kidnapped for the “3rd Weapon of Power”
-Blane will not allow this and tells Drak to go to Plan B
-Drak then attempts to intimidate Warden Bowser into giving them what they want; Warden Bowser seems more annoyed than frightened, and Blane attempts to spit in his face
-Blane tells Drak to go to Plan C (aka kill him, which he meant in the first place when he said go to Plan B)
-Warden Bowser summons reinforcements as “The Tribe” engages him in battle, all the while Father Fellfire stands in the corner shaking his head and sighing
-The infamous warrior Dark Link descends from the ceiling, and 2 of the humanoid turtle guards enter from the behind Warden Bowsers desk to defend their cruel (and somewhat bored) master

*The battle is brief yet bloody with Blane getting the killing blow on Ward Bowser with his “Word of Mystic Warding” power
-Dark Link meets his unceremonious end when Drak casually slices him in two
-G/G and the minions finish off Turtle Guard #1 (one of the minions die a pathetic death in the process), and Blane finishes off Turtle Guard #2

*Some of “The Tribe” search Warden Bowsers corpse and find a key that unlocks his wall safe, inside is the “3rd Weapon Of Power”
-The other members release and tend to the 2 princesses
-Blane informs Princess Nadia, the one Father Fellfire kidnapped, that their world will be in need of a leader after KVDK is defeated and offers her the job; she declines saying she has to save her own world

Session 12: Priest Bites Druid

*The Tribe find themselves in the city of Kair; yes that right, for some reason they are once again in the city with the Army of Bear Statues (Controlled by a Magical Flaming Axe; I wonder who could possible own said Axe?) covered in their wanted posters
-Blane wisely decides to leave the city immediately, while some of the other have a spot of fun/insanity in the city (namely the Dwarf, aka Arlin the Anchor)
-A short time later and “The Tribe” is reunited in the forest outside of Kair
-Father Fellfire shows up mysteriously once again, and then sets off on a quest to find a way to end Blane’s mystically induced hatred of the flee bitten mange ridden druid known as Braig
-Gregor/Gregoria makes a wish that causes a giant time travel device (that can travel to any point in the past, and be used an unlimited number of times) to fall from the sky, nearly putting an untimely end to “The Tribe”
-Gregor/Gregoria then uses the device to send “The Tribe” back in time to just before they lost the HCT (the time travel device did not make the journey with them though)
-The aforementioned druid then decides to go on a wild goose chase, as a wild goose, and try to retrieve the HCT (which he has no idea how to operate) by himself

*Braig arrives in Serentalis (the city in which “The Tribe” lost the HCT) only to be met by Father Fellfire, who promptly murders him when Braig tells him about the RGTTD (Ridiculously Giant Time Travel Device)
-Father Fellfire then finds Past Braig and gives him Future Braig’s possessions and tells him to go to Aramanthia to meet up with the rest of “The Tribe” (sans HCT of course)

*In Aramanthia the tribe discovers that King Vincent Darkwater Kane will be arriving tomorrow to celebrate his coronation
-Blane discovers a delightful little pie shop (shaped like a piece of pie) run a man, woman, and their silent frowning friend (who likes to solve mysteries in his spare time, of which he has plenty)
-Braig teleports in right next to an astral projection of KVDK (King Vincent Darkwater Kane), who promptly shouts “You!”
-“The Tribe” takes refuge in the pie shop, and Blane confides in pie shop owner that “The Tribe” is trying to end the rein of the evil KVDK
-The pie shop owner agrees to help “The Tribe;” he will be on the look out for others wishing to start a rebellion, and will to deliver a letter to the Gnome King telling he were the RGTTD is (hopfully the gnomes will try to improve / break it; that way “The Tribe” won’t have to worry about adding Cronos to their enemies list)
-Gregor/Gregoria asks Braig why he didn’t return with the HCT; Braig has no memory of going to fetch it, and Gregor/Gregoria deduces that this is not Future Braig but Past Braig
-Blane takes a closer look at Braig and doesn’t feel a burning all consuming hatred, so whoever this is it obviously not the Braig that has been traveling with them (or Father Fell was true to his word, I know hard to believe, and has somehow mystically removed Blanes hatred for him)
-Blane once again mention the mysterious man in black who wants their Hades Amulets, when there is knock on the pie shop door; and you guessed right boys and girls it is none other than Dick Clark (just kidding, it is in fact the mysterious man in black)
-After much debate the man in black agrees to reveal itself, and it is none other than…

Adventure!
Not to be confused with Adventure! (TM)

A lot of things have happened since a bard has come about to tell you about them. Most of them will pass away into the lands of things that are often forgotten, but I remember a few and so here they are.

The party, or maybe it was just one of them, went on a mad quest to find and use as many decks of many things as possible. The result being that they have quite a few interesting things, they’ve lost their HCT and are responsible for allowing an evil sorceress to make an attempt on the King’s life.

They went to sleep, most recently, in the presence of the King’s assassin and, she being sort of like the huntsman of Snow White fame, she meerly took all of their belongings and left them a note and some gold to put them in her version of the witness protection program. She set out and would have made it to the king via magic if the party had not gone to another plane and used a mythical fountain to draw her to them and kill her. (They are not very much like the huntsman of Snow White fame).

They did get all of their things back though and learned of other things which plague them. Now, perhaps, they will continue their quest for the swords of legend (they only have two of the four after all) and maybe on the way they’ll remember that they’re suppposed to be the good guys, but I’m not holding my breath!

Fighting Friday and A Pack of Evil
A Little Glory....

After a little fanciful sword play the Dragon Born is able to secure Glory, the Sword of Freedom, from King Friday. The old king departs to enjoy his final rest and our heroes light out into the world after learning that true Honor exists where the Knights of Arthur held palaver with their king. There was some more time spent with the dratted Deck of Many Things and the ever delightful Family Drinn. Our heroes now consider how to make their way to another plane given the magic that binds them to this one.

So Many Tombs, So Little Time
The Quest for Glory

Who doesn’t love a shopping adventure? That happened…it was good times.

The Order of the Styx ventured out into the world after that, and having obtained the key to the proper tomb from the Cave of Wonders, to seek out the first of the Swords of Legend. They began making their way up the mountains when they encountered an old man.

The thief like dragon born, possessed by some sort of spirit of rage, upset the humble pie maker and The Order was forced to continue their trek without any pie. As it was growing dark they decided to take refuge in a nearby cave where they met a not so fierce Drabbit named Sky. He spoke to them briefly, but gave them permission to rest the night in his cave.

During the night the sneaky Drabbit stole the key that our heroes had so lately obtained. Ever the brilliant bunch The Order quickly realized that the item was missing and made their way to the tombs where, fortunately, the Drabbit had left the proper door open. They found him attempting to puzzle his way through the tomb (clearly not having much luck).

They, after a firey and occasionally cold type death made their way to the sword chamber and were daunted by the words, “To the Victor goes the spoils…” until they (with some help of the druid and his ever impressive goose form and the humble pie maker) found Victor Friday, a long dead king, in the sarcophagus at the tomb’s opening. He happily led them back to the sword chamber and reclaimed Glory, the sword of Freedom, from the pilar on which it rested.

King Friday quickly regained much of his lost strength and The Order began to grow nervous…
